Abstrak
ABSTRACT Umadji, Fadly. 2014. IPOD (Innovative Pocket Dictionary) As A Learning Aid to Enrich Students' Vocabulary (A Study conducted at VIII grade students of SMP N 1 Bulango Utara). The objective of this study is particularly to find out whether or not using IPOD (Innovative Pocket Dictionary) can enrich students' vocabularies. The subjects of the study were the eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Bulango Utara in the class VIII a. They consisting of 19 female and 14 male. The design of research is Pre Experimental Design which used Pre Test, Treatment, and Post Test. The data of this research is normally distributed. The result of the study figures out that by using IPOD can enrich students' vocabulary. It is proved through the mean score of Post Test which is higher than Pre Test or 77.92 > 50.45. Based on the hypotheses testing, it was found that t_count = 11.70, while the score of t_table = 1.68 with df= n-1 (33-1) and the level of significance = 0.05. It indicates that the hypotheses is accepted because the score of t_count is higher than t_table or 11.70 > 1.68. It can be concluded that IPOD (Innovative Pocket Dictionary) as a learning aid to enrich students' vocabulary. Keywords: IPOD, Learning Aid, Enriching Students' Vocabulary
