Abstrak
ABSTRACT
Nanang P.Korompot (2013): “Descriptive Study on Teaching English Literature by Using Tale”.
This studyaimsto find thelearning modelof children's literature in the junior high school. I am interested to do research entitles “Descriptive Study on Teaching English Literature by Using Tale.”
The method of this research is quantitative descriptivemethod. The data of this research have been collected from the participants at SMP N 4 Passi espeacially in eight grade students academic years 2013/2014. There were two techniques have been used to collect the data, they are obsevatin and interview. Furthermore, the data have been analyzed by analyze the data for organanize and separate the data into general and specific information from the participants and my observation.
The result of this study can be concluded that there are three factors that effect the low of studnets’ literary interest, first is methodsandmediathat used by teachers, second is students' knowledge of literary including tale and the third is the Interestof Students to Learning Literary andEnglish Language. Based on the third indicators, I concluded that the application of tales have the positive influence and can improve students’ ability in English and literature learning.
