Abstrak
NURNANINGSI, PAKAYA. The implementation of think pair share method in teaching speaking at SMP N I Telaga. This research is aimed at knowing the teachers’ steps in implementing think pair share method in teaching speaking and also to know the teachers’ issues and problems surrounding the implementation of think pair share method in teaching speaking. It was conducted at SMP N I Telaga, especially the teacher who have implemented think pair share method, using qualitative method. The finding of the research shows that not all the teachers have doneall steps, and also not all problems happened to the teachers. Moreover both of the teachers are having new problems, those are; students always felt confused with the question or issues which would be discussed with partner and sometimes students did not focus on the lesson that the teacher explained. And besides, there was also insufficient of time becomes one of the problems. Keywords: Think pair share method, teaching speaking.
