This qualitative research discovers the issues about teachers’ perspective towards the benefits of using silent way method in teaching English. It takes from two main cases. The cases consist of the teachers’ perspective towards the benefits of using silent way method and factors that affect teacher’s perspective towards the benefits of using silent way method. Silent way method is one good method that can help teachers because of its strengths such as make students more active, safe teachers’ energy; give students an opportunity to explore their English ability, etc. In contrast, although the silent way method offers much strength, teachers do not used it. In order to investigate the problems, the researcher uses observation and interview with the participants are 5 English teachers in MAN MODEL Gorontalo. In analyzing the data, the researcher uses three processes such as data reduction, data display, and conclusion/verification. Findings indicate that the name of silent way method is not familiar with the teachers in MAN Model Gorontalo. However, the procedure of silent way method has implemented by the teachers. The procedure of the method helps teachers to develop students’ ability in using English. By implementing the procedure of silent way method, the goal of teaching and learning process can be reached. That is why the teachers revealed that silent way method is a kind of good method if it is seen from the procedure. There are also some factors that affect teachers’ perspective towards the application of silent way method. The factors are the name “silent”, the use of instructional materials, and the knowledge about teaching method.
