This study aims to know how are character's act to pursue dreams as reflected in 16 wishes movie by Adam theory about American dreams. This study focuses to analyze Abby Jensen and Crista Cook's acts as protagonist and antagonist character in pursuing dreams by using Truslow J. Adam theory and supporting by (Stuttgart : 2006) about American dreams. Method of this research is qualitative method especially in content analysis. The data are obtained from Conversation and also picture in 16 wishes movie, the book of American dreams and other website as other supports of data. The finding that have been transcribe into data will be described and discussed tweenty one data. The data are six data in hard work, eight data in optimism, four data in individualism, two data in progress and one data in freedom. The data give evidence that two character have different way to pursue their dreams based on American dreams. The data also found, not all American people that individualism because one of character in this research shows she always asking help from others without believe on her self. I hope this research can be reference for the next researcher.
