Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Advisors: Dr. Syarifuddin Ahmad, M.Pd and Dewi Dama S.Pd, M.Ed. This study aims to investigate the students' perception towards teachers' gender differences in teaching speaking. This study uses the psychosocial theory approach by Erik Erikson (2001). Descriptive quantitative method was used to analyze the data. The data were collected from the questioners and interview given to the respondents of this study. The sample of this study consists of 80 English Study Program students in Universitas Negeri Gorontalo who are in the fifth grade and enrolling the Speaking class. The result of this study shows that 60% students have an optimistic feeling towards gender differences. They assumed male and female teachers are similar or equally same in the learning process seen from their psychosocial aspects. Simply, gender differences do not give significant differences towards the students' learning outcome. Meanwhile there are 40% of the students who think that gender differences affect the teaching and learning process. Keywords: Students Perception, Gender Differences, and Teaching Speaking.
