The main purpose of this study was to knowthe implementation of English subject as extracurricular in Elementary School. This study was designed by using qualitative method. The participants of this study were referred to the English teachers at MI MuhammadiyahUnggulan Kota Gorontalo. The techniques of collecting the data were interview and observation. Observation was conducted in six meetings. Thus, two English teachers were interviewed in order to find out the information of implementing English subject as extracurricular in Elementary School. The techniques of analyzing the data were started from reducing the data, displaying the data, and concluding the data. The finding of this study showed that the implementation of English subject at MI MuhammadiyahUnggulan Kota Gorontalo were divided into two activities, they are: regular class and full day. Learning and teaching English as extracurricular in regular class and full day was referred to the curriculum 2006, but it was related to the curriculum 2013. Nonetheless, learning and teaching English in regular class was focused to the four skills of English included of listening, writing, reading, and speaking. It was mixed between theory and practice. On the other hand, learning and teaching English in full day was only focused to the speaking skill. It was concentrated through practice. Therefore, the students most expressed their English capability in speaking. Key words:English subject, English teacher, and teaching English as extracurricular.
