The main problem of this study: what are the students' mistakes in pronunciation of English consonants and vowels? In this case the researcher wants to know whether the students' make mistakes in the pronunciation of English consonants and vowels. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. The participants were the students of second grade (language class) in SMA Negeri 1 Bone Pantai. The researcher gave a list of word, the students read one by one, and the researcher recorded. The researcher used Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary to compare students' pronunciation to determine their mistakes. In the result of finding, the researcher found that the students made many mistakes in pronouncing English sound especially in these phoneme: /b, v, d, g, , , , , , t, k, p, :, and /. It means the students in SMA Negeri 1 Bone Pantai still make mistakes in pronunciation.
