This study aims to find out and analyze the personality of the main character in Perfume movie. On this study uses descriptive analysis as the method of research. The data are obtained from script and scenes of Perfume movie, the books of psychology literary, personality, and also website. This study focuses to analyze Jean-Baptiste Grenouille's characterization by using Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis theory. There are two approaches which is included into this research are psychology approach and structural approach. In this analysis, this study found that Grenouille is a young boy who diligent and a hard worker then became a murderer for fulfill his desire. He became anxious, frustrate, greedy, and also morose. He became a murderer to fulfill his desire in a scent. He killed the girls and used the girl's body extract as a substance for creating a formula of wonderful perfume. Based on the data, the Id as the dominant structure of personality who leads him to fulfill his desire even he had to kill some girls. Then, the death instinct and anxiety become his dynamics of personality which supported him to do the homicide action. It also found that Grenouille used rationalization as his defense mechanism to protect him for reducing of his anxious.
