Katili, S.S, M.Pd (2) Novi Rusnarty Usu, S.Pd, M.A This study aims to investigate the extent of which prejudice create racial discrimination in 12 Years a Slave, a film by Steve McQueen. It applies sociological approach and descriptive analysis method. The analysis refers to theory of prejudice and discrimination by S.Dale McLemore's prejudice and discrimination. The result shows that one character has fully recount the process of prejudice that lead to racial discrimination and discrimination as the result of being prejudice is strengthened by economical factor, law and social paradigm.
