Sumalia. 2014. NIM: 321410131. Skripsi: "Validity and Reliability of Final Semester Examination Test of English" (Research conducted in SMPN 2 Napabalano, Muna city, Southeast Sulawesi Province)
This research aimed to find out whether the test of UAS in SMPN 2 Napabalano in 2014 academic year is valid and reliable or not and whether the item analysis of the test is good or not. The subjects of this research were the second grade of SMPN 2 Napabalano which consists of 36 students. The method used of this research was the descriptive quantitative. In collecting the data this research used documentation form by analysing the questions , key answers and students' answer. The findings of this research were: from 22 items there were only 3 valid items, the coefficient reliability test in SMPN 2 Napabalano was the lowest, the IF of items were in satisfactory category, the ID of items were in poor category and the most of distracters had served their function effectively. Therefore, the validity, reliability, Item Facility (IF), Item Discrimination (ID) and The Effectiveness of Distracters (ED) test in SMPN 2 Napabalano needs to be revised.
