Abstrak

ABSTRACT Astrie Marshella Umar. 321 411 041. 2015. Values on Maleficent and Frozen movies Skripsi. English Department. Letter and Culture Faculty. Gorontalo State University. Advisors: (1) Novi Rusnarty Usu, S.Pd, M.A, (2) Farid Muhammad, S.Pd, M.A This study analyzed values on Maleficent and Frozen, namely: moral and family values. This employs Sigmun Freud psychoanalysis as the main approach and Juan Carlos Jimenes theory of values. This study used qualitative method. The result showed that 18 data contains values in Maleficent and frozen movies. 7 values categorized into family values and 11 values categorized into moral values. Then the dominant personality that drive the character on the both of movies is ego. Finally, the researcher concludes that both of the movies has many values that can be adopted and applied in the daily life. Keywords: family, moral, personality, relationship, values.
