This study aimed at describing how the semiotics concept of Riffaterre in selected poems of William Blake. The method of this study was qualitative research. Moreover, this study applied semiotics concept of Riffaterre that focused on four aspects in analyzing the poems. They are semantic indirection that produced by displacing meaning, distorting meaning (ambiguity, contradiction and nonsense), and creating meaning; heuristic and hermeneutic reading; matrix, model and varian; and hypogram. The source of data in this study was four of William Blake's poem (i.e The Sick Rose, The Angel, A Poison Tree and The Little Black Boy) and it was collected through library research. The steps of collecting the data were reading the poems, identifying the four aspects of semiotics concept of Riffaterre in the poems then taking notes all of the identifying. The data was analyzed by using the technique of Model Interactive Analysis by Miles and Huberman (i.e data reduction, data display and conclusion).The result of this study showed almost diction in the poems having semantic indirection process. Displacing and creating meaning found in words, phrases, sentences, typography, repetition of words, and rhyme scheme of the poems. It showed how creative Blake in choose words to represented the message in his poems. Besides that, ambiguity and contradiction that found in the poems also showed how Blake so detail in cover message in his poems and nonsense that did not find made the poems looked like simple to be interpreted but actually there were more complicated meaning that have to be interpreted. It was proofed by heuristic and hermeneutic reading that showed the alteration meaning in first and second interpretation of the poems. Through matrix, model and varian that found in the poems, the meaning of the poems were described briefly. While, hypogram in the poems showed the poems related to some verses in The Bible and a story of expulsion of Adam and Eve from Eden.
