This research uses one group pre-test post-test design and applies 3 steps: pre-test, treatment for 4 times, and post-test. In addition, to collect the data the researcher uses multiple choices test as the form of the instrument. Therefore, in analyzing the data the researcher uses normality test and t-test. The result of this result shows that the application of internet browsing gives the significant effect on students' reading ability. It supports by using statistical analysis that shows tcount is smaller than tlist. The value of tcount is -2.04 and tlist is 2.00. It can be formulated as -2.04 â 2.00 with the degree of freedom = (n-1) = (23-1) = 22 in level significance = 0.05. The result indicates that the hypothesis of this research is acceptable. The internet browsing can affect significantly on students' reading ability. Therefore, teachers and lectures can use this media not only in teaching reading but also to improve students' reading ability.
