HUSAIN, SABRINA WARDATUL JANNAH. 2015. Improving Students' Writing Skill by Using Guiding Question Technique (A Research Conducted at Grade VIII A of MTs Muhammadiyah Al-falah)
The main problem of this research was "can guiding question technique improve students skill in writing descriptive text?" The objective of this research was aimed to know the influence of guiding question technique in improving students' skill in writing descriptive text. The population of this research was second grade of MTs Muhammadiyah Al-falah. The sample was class VIII A which consist of 24 students. This research used pre-experimental research by applying Pre-test, Treatment and Post-Test design. The result of this study was successful because the students could write descriptive text better after using guiding question technique. It can be seen from the differences between Pre-test data and Post-test data. Pre-test data, the student's lowest score was 25, and the highest score was 71, with average of score was 38.81. Post-Test data, the student's lowest score was 61, and the highest score was 91, with average of score 74.25.
