The research was conducted on the second grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Kabila in the 2015/2016 academic year. Skripsi. English Education Study Program, Letters and Culture Faculty. This researcher is aimed to find out whether or not Think Pair Share technique can increase students' ability in writing analytical exposition text. The sample was class XI-IPS1 which consists of 19 students. This research used pre-experimental design by applying pre-test, treatment and post-test. In collecting the data, the researcher used writing test. The result of this study was significantly increased because the students could write analytical exposition text better after using Think Pair Share technique. It can be seen from the differences between pre-test and post-test result. In Pre-test data, the student's lowest score was 26 and the highest score was 89, while in Post-test data the student's lowest score was 60 and the highest score were 93. As the result tcount > ttable or 5.498 > 2.101 It means that the students' writing ability to write analytical exposition text can be improved by using think-pair-share technique.
