Advisors: Prof.Dr. kartin Lihawa, M.Pd and Nonny Basalama M.A Ph.D This research aims to revealed the students' perspectives on peer assessment in speaking class. The data is collected by interviewing and observing the students in speaking class in English Department and the data was analyzed by using descriptive qualitative method. The participants of this research are twenty five students who were chosen based on certain criteria. The data are analyzed after finding and classifying the specific information that was revealed from the interviewed and observation. The result of this study shows the students can increase their ability in speaking class by used peer assessment because they can motivate each other. Moreover, in term the general obstacles in peer assessment they can increase their ability without thinking the bias factor. Key words: Students, Perspectives, Peer Assessment, Bias factors
