Advirors : Dr. Hanisah Hanafi M.Pd and Magvirah El Wakidayni Kau, S.Pd, M.Pd This research aims to process of application pre questioning strategy in students' reading comprehension. This research is conducted at tenth grade students in SMK Negeri 1 Limboto which covers 24 students as sample. This research used qualitative research method. The test was formative test. The data is collected from observation on the class room and documentation and data were analyzed in four steps which are organizing, classifying, interpreting, and reporting. It can be seen in the result the process of teaching in applying pre questioning strategy was not running well. There were some steps of strategy that missed by the teacher. The students also have less attention to the material that given by the teacher. It proved that the teacher needs to prepare the material well in order to make the strategy successfully apply.
