This study aims to investigate the personality traits and the factors/fundamental principles of personality traits of Prof. Morrie in Tuesdays with Morrie novel. In conducting the research, this study used qualitative method which concern in phenomenology research. Moreover, in analyzing the personality traits, this study employed Cattel's theory (1940) and used Arlow's theory (1995) in categorizing the fundamental principles of personality of Prof. Morrie. Supported by structural approach, this study found the personality traits of Prof. Morrie was dominated by Agreeableness (good nature), where the sociable, cooperative and gentle traits as the minor traits. Regarding the factors/fundamental principles of personality traits, Prof. Morrie's personalities were dominantly influenced by Determinism principles (his experience), while another personalities were influenced by Topography (consciousness) and Dynamic viewpoint (childhood events) principles.
