Writing skill is an important part of communication. Good writing skills allow you to communicate your message with other people. Therefore this research is a study about increasing students' writing descriptive text trough sense word wall. The aim of conducting this research is want to know whether or not the use of sense word wall media can increase students' ability in writing descriptive text for students tenth grade in SMA 1Telaga Gorontalo in the academic year 2014/2015. The researcher conducted a pre-experimental study with measurement as the technique of collecting data and written test as tool of collecting data. The sample of this study was 30 students. The research finding shows that students' percentages of pre-test is 30%; which is categorized as "Poor". Furthermore, students' percentages of post-test were 62%; which is categorized as "Average to Good". Based on the data analysis, it was found that the effect size of this research is 32%. Based on that statement it can be concluded that Sense Word Wall can improved students' ability in writing descriptive text.
