Teachers' creativity in applying the approppriate method in teaching reading is determining the students' achievement whether they understand the material or not. The teacher should be able to choose the good method to help the students' obstacle in reading comprehension. This research aims to describe the problem posing method can improve the students' reading comprehension especially in narrative text. The data were obtained through pre test, treatment and post test and it were analyzed t-test. It was to know the difference of student's reading comprehension between pre-test and post-test. The result indicates that the students' score in pre test was 194 and post test was 292. It means that the difference of students' score was 98 between pre test and post test or the students' score was increased from 194 up to 292. Moreover, the criteria used to verify the hypothesis is rejected H0 if tcountis less than ttable (tcount> ttable). The researcher found that the tcount is bigger than ttable or 10,333 â 1,721 with the level significance = 0,05. This result shows that the hypothesis of this research is accepted. Therefore, problem posing method can improve students' reading comprehension. Also, it can be used by the teacher in teaching learning process at reading comprehension.
