This study aimed to investigate how the English teachers apply their skill in teaching. In conducting this research, the researcher uses qualitative research where the sample of this research obtained three English teachers. In measuring the data of research the researcher used observation, interview and documentation.
In this research, the researcher wants to investigate the application of eight skill of teaching especially English teacher by Richards (2011). The eight skill are, oppening the lesson, introducing and explaining tasks, setting up learning arrangements, checking students understanding, guiding students to practice, monitoring students language use, making transition from one task to another and ending the lesson. Based on the result of observation, interviewed teachers and students, the researcher found that two teachers applied all English teaching skill and one teacher only applied seventh skills in teaching.
