Abstrak

ABSTRACT Syaiful Ikram Ohi. 321412044. 2019. Personality Disorder of Character Smerdyakov in Novel The Brother Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky (Translated by Constance Clara Garnett). English Department, Faculty of Letters and Culture, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The First advisor is Dr. Harto S. Malik, M. Hum and second advisor is Rusni Podungge, S.Pd., M.A The aim of this study was to clasify the personality disorder of character Smerdyakov in novel The Brother Karamazov by Constance Clara Garnett. This research uses descriptive analysis method. This analysis uses Diagnostic and Statistical of Mental Disorder develop by American Psychiatric Association (2013) whereas categorized ten types of personality disorder. And as the result The researcher found four types of personality disorder that is Schizoid, Schizotypal, Borderline and Antisocial personality disorder inside the character Smerdyakov.
