This study aimed to discover the description of black woman's images in the three poems of Maya Angelou. They are "Woman Work", "Phenomenal Woman", and "Men". To find out the image of black woman, the research apply structural analysis to analyze figurative language on the focus on metaphor, personification, simile, and symbol, and then imagery on the poems. After analyzing types of figurative language and imagery, furthermore, the data categorized into woman images based on black feminism criticism. The result of this research, from seven kinds of imagery , only five kinds of imagery found on the poems , they are visual imagery, auditory imagery, organic imagery, gustatory imagery, and kinesthetic imagery. Moreover, the figurative language that found in the poem are three metaphor, three simile, two personification, and six symbol. Furthermore, based on black feminism analysis, the researcher found the image of black woman are confident, brave, strong, mystery, beauty, hard worker, loneliness, cheated, and hurt.
