The purpose of this research is to describe the kinds of illocutionary acts and the kinds of perlocutionary act that occurred in "You Again" film. This research applies qualitative method to describe the data. This research also applies Leech's theory to determine the illocutionary act and perlocutionary act. As the results, there are 29 discourses that are analyzed. The researcher discovers four kinds of illocutionary act based on Searle's theory; They are assertive in 10 utterances, directive in 16 utterances, commissive in 1 utterance, and expressive in 2 utterances. Based on the effect of illocutionary act, the researcher discovers seven aspects of perlocutionary acts based on Austin's theory; They are convincing in 8 utterances, persuading in 3 utterances, deterring in 4 utterances, even in 6 utterances, say in 3 utterances, surprising in 4 utterances, and misleading in 1 utterance. This research is expected to be useful for the readers, especially for the students in English Department in learn speech acts and as a reference for the next researcher.
