The aims of this study are to describe the errors of lexical collocation found in students' writing and to provide the correct one as the correction. The participants are fifth semester students of the 2014/2015 academic year in English Department. Their articles on their blog were analyzed to get the data which were their collocation errors written by themselves. This study discovers many errors of lexical collocation written by the students in their English writing. This study uses observation and documentation in collecting the data and uses qualitative descriptive method in explaining the data found. The result shows that the students commonly make errors of lexical collocation in writing and they are influenced by their native language. This study found two types of lexical collocation that commonly occur and the errors in students' writing, which are 'verb + noun' and 'adjective + noun' word combinations. The conclusion is that the students need to pay more attention in choosing and combining words and must have enough knowledge regarding to semantic field of linguistics, especially concerning lexical meaning, then students can write correct lexical collocation based on its lexical meaning and produce natural sounding in their English writing.
