This descriptive qualitative research intends to discover the students' attitude towards learning English in English Department, Letter and Culture faculty of State University of Gorontalo. The primary data were obtained through questionnaire that distributed to the all student of English Department in semester five. The questions of the questionnaire is refers to the theory of attitude's component and the theory of attitude towards learning English. The data are analyzed after finding and classifying the specific information that contained of the students' attitude towards learning English. The result of the research shows that there are positive attitude and negative attitude among the students of English Department, specifically in term of affective, behavioral and cognitive component. The positive attitude is signed by the enthusiasm and ambition of the student in the learning process and the negative attitude is the opposite.
