This study investigates the Black women's oppression in Beloved, a novel by Toni Morrison. Particularly the oppression are experiencd by four Black women characters namely Sethe Suggs, Beloved, Denver, and Baby Suggs. This is a qualitative research and applies feminist literary criticism to analyze the problem. The study shows that Black women experience three dimensions of oppression namely economic exploitation, political subordination, and ideological dimension. Furthermore, each dimension of oppression is influenced by the combination of race, gender, class (multiple oppression) and/or the combination of race and gender (dual oppression). They are oppressed by both Black men and White men. Black men are the superior of gender within the Black people. Whereas White men as the superior of race between White and Black society.
