This research is aimed to investigate the students' perception towards lecturers' ability in mentoring students in teaching practice class. In PPL class, lecturers' mentoring for students was to stimulate students' readiness as a preservice teacher. The participants of the research were 20 students of English department class of 2013. The research applied qualitative descriptive method, the data were obtained from semi structure interview (Sugiyono (2008, p. 9) to collect the representation of students perception towards lecturers ability in mentoring students in teaching practice class. The result of this research shows that the lecturers were able to combine the way to teaching with the indicators of mentoring. In conclusion, managing time was the important thing in order to make the situation of teaching and learning process in the class would be efficient.
