This study intentions to investigate the implementation of watching English Movie to enhance students' listening ability at third grade of English Department Universitas Negeri Gorontalo in 2017/2018. According to Vandergrift (2002), listening is an interactive, interpretive process in understanding messages where listeners use both prior knowledge and linguistic knowledge. It means that listening is one of skills of receiving some information from the speaker. Meanwhile, watching movies is one of factors in cognition and capibility of listening skill. It can enhance listening comprehension by providing learners with contextually rich, high interest, authentic and culturally appropriate communicative situations (Schwartz, 1998:46). Using quantitave method especially pre-experimental design, 20 students was given test, and using pearson product moment in analysing the data. In the result of the study that using standard significances shows that 4.26 > 2.09. Therefore the results of t-count is higher than t-list it means that there is a significant differences of students' listening abilty between the student before being taught by using English movie as a treatment.
