This study aims at identify and describe types of grammatical cohesion errors in university students' descriptive text. This study applied qualitative descriptive as the research method. The object of this study is undergraduate students of department of English Language education, sixth semester, class of 2014, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. To collect the data, the researcher conducted test in which the students were asked to write three descriptive texts. There were 63 descriptive texts written by 21 students and only 27 texts which required as the data written by nine students. In analyzing the data, the researcher used some theories that relevant to this study. These theories are theory of cohesion, theory of error analysis and theory of descriptive text. As the result of this study, this research found errors in using reference as the dominant error found, they are demonstrative reference and personal reference, meanwhile there were no errors in using comparative reference. Errors in using conjunction also found in university students' descriptive text particularly errors in using additive conjunctions which are highly found than the others types of conjunction.
