Sambouw, M.Hum The research is aimed at knowing the implementation of crossword puzzle can increase students vocabulary that focused on noun and adjective in the seventh grade of SMP N 4 Batudaa Pantai in 2017/2018 academic year and to know whether by using crossword puzzle can increase students' vocabulary or not. This experimental design research was conducted in the class with 17 students for 4 meetings which consisted of pretest-posttest group.The data were obtained from test. The researcher gained quantitative method and used Ttest to analyze the data and to test the hypothesis. In the result of pre-test the mean score of students score is 41,176, and the mean score of post-test is 47,059. Moreover, the result of Ttest showed that tcount > ttable 8,079 > 2,12. Thus it can be concluded that Ha is accepted while Ho is rejected. Key words: Crossword Puzzle, Vocabulary, Media.
