ABSTRACT Kadir, Ria. 321414053. 2019. The Effect of Gardenscape Game to Increase Students��� Vocabulary (A Research Conducted in Seventh Grade Students��� of SMPN 6 Gorontalo). Undergraduate Thesis. English Department, Letters and Culture Faculty, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Principal advisor Dr. Jolanda H.D Pilongo M.Pd and Rahmawaty Mamu S.Pd, M.Pd The aim of this reseacrh is to find out whether Gardenscape Game can imrpove students��� English vocabulary capacity or not. The subject of this research were the seveth grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Gorontalo, 2019/2020 academic year, consist of 27 students. The students��� English vocabulray before playing Gradenscape Game is very poor and limited. It is shown by the mean students��� score of pre-test in percentage before they are play gardenscape game as a treatment. In other word, after play gardensape game as a treatment is good and it is above average in the level of achievement. It shown by the mean students��� score of post-test in percentage after they are play gardenscape game as a treatment. The method that used in this research was the quasi experimental design is one group pre-test and post-test design. The data analyzed by using T-test. From the calculation of t-test, the researcher found that t-count bigger than t-list or 6,894 bigger that 1,703. Students��� score test also was increased it prove by the students��� mean score pre-test 26,55 and the mean score of post-test is 32,59. It can be concluded that the Gardencape Game can improve students��� English Vocabulary. Keyword : Gardenscape , English Vocabulary
