In a love relationship, each person has diverse characterizations and personalities way to loved and to be loved. Therefore, they will show different elements of love as a couple, as represented in The Longest Ride novel. This study aims to discover the characterizations of each character and the representation of loves of the main characters. This study will use the triangular theory of love by Robert Steinberg and the structuralism approach to finding the characterization of the character and elements of love. As a result, this study found that every character has different characterization. Ira: loyal, romantic, intelligent. Ruth: kind, care, hard worker. Sophia: idealist, independent, clever. Luke: brave, reliable, and unique. Furthermore, each pair represented an element of love; intimacy, passion, and commitment.
