The learning style is the important thing for students to apply. it can also help 
students to train their skills, they can use the learning style they prefer. Learning style 
can be used for all skill which are speaking, listening, writing and reading and in this 
topic only focus in listening. Learning style is not only used by students but also used 
by teacher to teach their students. It helps them to teach and improve their student.
skills. Style has been defined by various scholars mostly as a signal for individual 
differences. Therefore, the purpose of this study is this researcher investigates of 
learning Style in listening skill. The learning style can make it easier for students to 
train in listening skill. There are several learning style that can be used for students in 
listening skill, such as listening music English, watching movie English and any other 
media related to study of listening skill. The students can discover new vocabulary 
through listening and can be a good listener. The data is collected using observation 
and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis and research, it can be concluded 
that from the results described earlier that it can be seen from the three characteristics 
of the most dominant learning style in students, namely auditory characteristics. 
Where there are three characteristics found in 25 students. It can be concluded that 
auditory learning styles are the most dominant used by students. The researcher 
concluded that the characteristics of the most dominant auditory learning style were 
found in students. Auditory learning styles can help them learn to learn listening 
skills. The auditory learning style is more easily learned through hearing. Auditory 
style is easier to remember to listen to, the teacher is saying and more like the oral 
activity. It is that learning style can help students to improve listening skills.
