English is known as global language. In Indonesia, English is learn as foreign language. Speaking English can be challenging for some students that have anxiety. The anxiety can come from anywhere and come up with any reasons. Thus, the anxiety had a big impact for student������s ability in speaking English. The present study intends to investigate the factors that affect student������s anxiety in speaking English and the strategies that students use to cope their anxiety in speaking English. The data of the study were obtained by using mix method. The participants were students of English Department. Research data were collected by giving questionnaires and interviewing the students. Content analysis by Braun and Clark (2006) was used in analyzing data. The findings reveal the result that most of students in English Department felt anxiety in speaking English. However, most of the students used the strategies to cope the anxiety while speaking English.
