Abstrak
Saskia Lanti. 2020. 321 415 023. The Use of Song to Teach English Vocabulary at The Sixth Grade Students of SD AL-Azhar 43 Gorontalo. The research conducted at the sixth grade student of SD AL-Azhar 43 Gorontalo in the Academic year of 2018/2019. Skripsi. English Educational Study Program. Letters and Cultures Faculty. Second advisor Helena Badu, S.Pd., M.Pd This research was conducted to find out whether or not the use of songs improve the students vocabulary to the sixth grade students of SD AL-Azhar 43 Gorontalo . The research used a Pre-Experimental design, which used pre-test and post-test without using a control group or class control. This research conducted at sixth grade students of SD AL-Azhar 43 Gorontalo in academic year 2019/2020.The researcher used purposive sampling in taking the sample which are 18 students of Class A. The data of the studentsachievement were collected by using test that consist of 20 items of questions number. These data were then analysed quantitatively using t-test to see the significance different for each aspects and all aspects in the pre-test and post-test. The findings of the study indicated that the result of post-test was significantly higher than that of pre-test and the H1 (song can increase student vocabulary) in hypothesis verification is accepted. The result is Song was found out helpful to improve students vocabulary mastery for sixth grade students of SD AL-Azhar 43 Gorontalo in academic year of 2019/2020.
