This research aims to find out the types of code mixing that are used in Read.id news. The data of this research was taken from the news that contains code mixing which categorized as Christmas and New Year topics, and was published on 1st November till 31 December 2020. The method used in this research is qualitative one. The data was collected by reading the news carefully, and making notes. In addition, the data that have been collected was analyzed by using some steps such as identifying the data source by filtering them into Christmas and New Year topics, and see if the news contained code mixing. Classifying the code mixing based on the three types of code mixing by using Muysken theory (2000). Analyzing each of the data by explaining the meaning using the complete sentence which contained those code mixing, and interprets them by explaining the translation and meaning of those code mixing. As a result, the researcher finds that there are 10 data of code mixing in Read.id news which is categorized as Christmas and New Year topics, and was published on 1st November till 31 December 2020. The only code mixing appeared is Insertion. It is because the whole data that has been found is only words and phrases. The 10 code mixing was divided into seven words, and two phrases. Moreover, the word and phrase are characterized as Insertion.
