Abstract Alfinna Muthmainah. 2022. NIM 321415051. Increasing Students' Reading Comprehension by Using Think Pair Share Method in Teaching Reading Recount Text. English Department, Faculty of Letter and Culture, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Advisor (1). Dr. Hj. Rasuna Rasid Thalib, M.Hum. (2) Sri Agriyanti Mestari, S.Pd., M.Ed TESOL. This research purposed to find out whether the application of Think Pair Share method can enhance students' reading comprehension in teaching reading recount text. It was conducted at Mts Negeri 1 Kab. Gorontalo, particularly class VIII-3 as the sample of this research. The researcher used pre-test post-test design in order to find out the significant difference of students' students reading comprehension score before and after apply the Think Pair Share method. The methodology of this research is quantitative method in order to present the data in numerical form. As the result, after application of Think Pair Share method the mean score in pre-test is 13,25 and in post-test increased to 22. Moreover, this method also help the students to elaborate their own idea, engaged and discus with their pair, and build their confident through sharing session.
