Abstrak
This research was conducted based on problem statement how are the students��� ability in reading comprehension of narrative text by using story map. The objective of this research is to measure the students��� ability in reading comprehension of narrative text by using story map. This research use descriptive quantitative approach. This approach is used in order to know how are the students��� ability in reading comprehension of narrative text by using story map. Population of this research is the students of SMP Negeri 3 Kota Gorontalo in the third grade of 2020/2021 academic years, with total of population was 159. The data collected by using a test, the kind of test is essay test. The conclusion of this research was firstly, the students��� ability in reading comprehension of narrative text in the first text The Rabbit and The Turtle was categorized into high with the presentage 65,77% and the score was 171. secondly, the students��� ability in reading comprehension of narrative text in the second text Two Close Friend was categorized into middle with the presentage 58,85% and the score was 153. Thirdly, the students��� ability in reading comprehension of narrative text in the third text The Story of Toba Lake was categorized into high with the presentage 60% and the score was 156. Fourthly, it can be concluded that the students��� ability in reading comprehension of narrative text in all three of narrative text was categorized into high with the presentage 61,54% and the score was 480.
