The purpose of this research is to find out whether the use Word Chain Game can enrich students������ vocabulary or not. The population of this research is the students in eight grade of SMPN 1 Tapa, and the sample is 20 students in class VIII-4. This research used pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test. The result of this research shows that the mean score of per-test is 14,4 and the mean score of post-test is 16,9. Moreover, the result of hypothesis of this research found that tcount ����¥ tlist or 8,80 ����¥ 2,101. It means that the hypothesis (H1) of this research is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that by using Word Chain Game can enrich students������ vocabulary mastery of class VIII-4 in SMPN 1 Tapa.
