Abstrak

English Department, Letters and Cultures Faculty, State University of Gorontalo. Pricipal advisors Adriansyah Abu Katili, S.S, M.Pd and Sri Agriyanti Mestari S.Pd., M.Ed.TESOL. The aim of this research is to find out whether the use Rhythm of Pop Music media can improve students� vocabulary. The population of this research is the student in seventh grade of SMPN 01 Buntulia, and the sample is 21 students� in VIIb class. This research uses pre-experimental design with one group of pre-test, and post-test. The results of this study showed the mean score of pre-test is 11,17 and the mean score of post-test is 15,7. Moreover, the hypothesis of this study found the result of tcount�tlist with the value 8.83� 2.093. Means, the hypothesis (H1) of this research is accepted. Therefore, it concluded Rhythm of Pop Music media improved the students� vocabulary mastery of VIIb class in SMPN 01 Buntulia.. Key words: Students� Vocabulary, Rhythm of Pop Music
