Grammatical error on student's Elliptical sentences construction (A descriptive study at the fourth semester student of english department at state university of gorontalo). This reasearch analyses the kind of errors made by the students of english department at state university of gorontalo in forming elliptical construction in senteces. A qualitative method is employed in discovering the results, where it is conducted at the english department at state university of gorontalo and the participants were recruited from the fourth semester students of the said department. Data collection was employed by using answer sheet that consist of 30 question. The total error in students elliptical construction is 509 divided into 4 types of error; 106 occurences of omission, 146 occurences of addition, 223 occurences of misformation and 34 occurences of misordering. Therefore, it can concluded that most of the errors are related to the lack of knowledge regarding the form of the meaning intended by the participants.
