Abstrak
Fenti Pratiwi.321 416 074. 2022. "The Correlation Between Students' Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension in Analytical Exposition Text" Department of English, Faculty of Letters and Cultures, State University of Gorontalo. The first advisor is Sri Agriyanti Mestari, S.Pd., M.Ed TESOL and the second advisor is Helena Badu, S.Pd., M.Pd. This research aimed to find out the correlation between students' vocabulary mastery in their reading comprehension in analytical exposition text. This research was took place in SMK Negeri Totikum the eleventh grade students. This research used quantitative method, and analyzed the data by Pearson Product Moment Formula. The technique of collecting the data was using test. The test consist of 28 items of vocabulary mastery and 26 items of reading comprehension. The mean score of vocabulary test is 43,75 and the mean score of reading test is 45,38. As the result, by calculation the correlation between vocabulary and reading was found that rxy = 0.9714. The degree of significance 5% = 0.444. It means r count is bigger than r table (0.9714 > 0.444). Therefore, alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Finally, there is a significant positive correlation between students' vocabulary with their reading comprehension.
