Abstrak
Abstract Delfiana Rajak, 2021. "An analysis of Students' Difficulties in Designing Lesson Plan On English Instructional Design Course" English Department, Faculty of Letters and Culture, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The first advisor is Prof. Dr. Hj. Moon H. Otoluwa, M.Hum and the second advisor is Sri Agriyanti Mestari, S.Pd., M.Ed.TESOL. This study aimed to investigate the students' difficulties in designing lesson plan on English Instructional Design Course of English Department, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The participants of this research are the students of class B that consist of 13 students in the 4th semester in academic year of 2019/2020. Using a qualitative method the data were obtained from semi structure interview (Esterberg in Sugiyono, 2011). This study also used Braun and Clarke (2006) theory as the technique of analyzing the data. Therefore, Kinasih (2017) and Ilham (2010) study used as starting point of this study. The result of this research the participant faced difficulties in formulating learning indicator because lack of understanding of the operational verbs. The difficulties in formulating learning aims is adjusting with the operational verbs. The difficulty in formulating learning method is selecting effective method, confused about choosing methods because of many available methods, also difficult to adjust students����¯�¿�½���� characteristics based on their level of education. Moreover, there is no difficulty in adapting learning media. Difficulties in determine time allocation is adjusting to the learning method has been selected, namely the insufficient time provide in transfer learning material. Then, difficulties in determining assessment instrument are adjusting to the indicators to be achieved, too many assessment, difficult to make question. Although this study is conducted based on Kinasih (2017) and Ilham (2010), the result are different. Furthermore, the lecturer may give some chance for instance training or workshop which is related to the way designing a lesson plan or curriculum development.
