Abstrak
Kathryn Stockett's World View in The Help: Lucien Goldmann's Study of Genetic Structuralism. This study aims to reveal the worldview expressed by the author as part of a social class supported by traces of authorship that helped reconstruct The Help's worldview. Analysis of worldview is supported by the human fact and the structure of the novel The Help which describes the character's problems, both in relation to other characters and their environment The analysis uses genetic structuralism with a dialectical method based on the concept of understanding and explanation in finding the coherence of meaning. The data source is the novel The Help by Kathryn Stockett. The result of the research shows that the novel The Help as a human fact is described by the author through geographical, sociological, psychological, and historical facts. The structure of The Help novel is built by the relationship between characters, as well as characters and their environment. The relationship between character and character is depicted in relationship between human and human. Meanwhile, the relationship between the character and the environment are depicted in between human and nature, between human and society, and between human and oneself. The structure of the novel reflects Kathryn Stockett's worldview as a form of concern for the double oppression experienced black women as maid, as well as the view of justice for black women to demand equality.
