It was supervised by Prof. Prof. Dr. Hj. Moon Hidayati Otoluwa, M.Hum as the first advisor and Sri Rumiyatiningsih Luwiti, S.Pd., M.Pd as the seconde advisor This research aims to determine whether comic strip can enrich students vocabulary or not and to see the different before and after being given treatment using comic strip.The method used in this research is a quantitative method in which the data is presented in the form of numbers and tested using statistical formulas. The design of this research was a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest and posttest design, so that the sample in this research was second grade A with a total of 21 students at SMP Negeri 1 Bulango Timur. To obtain data, the researcher used the test (multiple choices) as a research instrument and administered pre-test, treatment, and post-test as a technique for collecting data. Then the data was analyzed using t-test . The results of this research indicate that there is enrichment in students vocabulary after being given treatment using a comic strip. This can be seen from the mean score of students before being given treatment or the pre-test, which was 16, while the mean score after being given treatment or in the post-test was 22,7. In pre-test for the highest answer is 22 and in post-test for the highest answer is 29. It proved by the increasing of the result significantly. The hypothesis of this research is accepted.
