The aim of this research was to find out whether or not the use of personal vocabulary notes can help students enrich their vocabulary. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Monano, and the sample for this research was 25 students in class 9B. This research used a pre-experimental design that used pre- and post-tests without using class control. The data were analyzed quantitatively using t-test with help SPSS 21 to see the different in result of pre-test and post-test. Based on the research findings, it shows that the post-test is higher than pre-test and the H1 (Personal Vocabulary notes can enrich students� vocabulary) in the hypothesis verification is accepted. The mean score in the pre-test was 46.08 in the "less" category, and the mean score in the post-test was 74.56 in the "enough" category. Additionally, the students� vocabulary was richer in nouns than verbs. The result of this research found that the Personal Vocabulary Notes can help students enrich their English vocabulary. So, during the English learning process, the teacher and students can use the Personal Vocabulary Notes to learn vocabulary and enrich the students� vocabulary.
