Abstrak
This research focused to investigate the impacts of online learning on students� speaking abilities. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method. The data was collected through interview. To analyze the data, the researcher used thematic analysis model. There are 16 students Class A of 2020 in English Department Universitas Negeri Gorontalo participated as the respondents of this research. The researcher found out that online learning has a very negative impacts on students� speaking abilities. Students said they difficult to develop their aspect of speaking and also when they have go back to conventional learning, they experience nervousness, shyness and have to re-adapt. This can be proven by the result of the data. Keywords: Speaking Abilities, Online Learning, COVID-19, Pandemic
