This research is aims to find out students' difficulties in starting narrative text with the tittle ��Ã..."Why starting to write is so difficult? An Analysis on students��� difficulties in starting writing narrative textÃ��ÂÂ. A Research conducted at the second grade of English Department UniversitasNegeriGorontalo Academic Year 2021/2022. This research focused on findings participants difficulties in starting to write Narrative text. The methodology used for this reseach is descriptive qualitative research. The analysis of the data used theory of data analysis by Creswell (2009). The result of this research showed that there are four difficulties that participants found in starting to write narrative text. The first is, lack of knowledge about the topic, second is determine the ideas, third is vocabulary mastery, fourth is arrange grammar. The researcher hopes this researcher will help the next researcher who has the research related to this research. Thereare two questions that students consider the most difficult to start writing narrative texts. Namely the first in question number five and question number two. The second thing, the questions were considered by students not too difficult to start writing questions that are considered difficult in determining the use of vocabulary and difficulty in using grammar by students and it is includes linguistics difficulties. Question number 1 is something that is easily understood by students, namely students have no difficulty understanding the material being trained and also the strategies given by the teacher really help them to start writing narrative texts it is includes physichological difficulties.
